Focus and Follow-Up Create Successful Results

The top two keys to achieving successful results are focus and follow-up.   Just the way I like things: simple, yet powerful.  Through extensive branding experience, I can say with certainty that until you have developed a solid brand identity, you won’t be able to focus, and therefore the follow-up won’t happen.  When you can communicate your brand with an engaging description that matches your branding statement, tone and message, you are golden.

Let’s dive deeper into what I mean by focus and follow-up, so you can achieve powerful results:

Focus is defined as the center of an interest or an activity.  Success for the entrepreneur happens when they focus on the quality and value that they can provide.  When you can wake up every day knowing who you are, what you do best and who your target audience is, you are focused.  When you are focused, you can use your brand as a filter to screen out activities and connections to avoid and figure out which ones to respond to.  When you completely understand your brand identity, you can instantly recognize great opportunities to pounce on and which land mines to avoid.

With every personal and professional interaction, you’re subconsciously branding yourself and your business.  What people see and how your words impact people is very important. Your brand impression stays with people from the very first touch, so make sure to communicate what you want people to remember you for.  When you say you will follow-up or do something, you are delivering a brand communication {promise}.  If you don’t follow-up or don’t do something, you are not fulfilling your brand promise, and it will impact your brand reputation and results.  If your reputation is negative, then you will have difficulty achieving your business objectives.  If your reputation is positive, then you will see the impact on your future cash flow.

Remember: “You can’t build a reputation on what you are going to do.” ~Henry Ford

In summary:

Focus2You, as an individual, are always a personal brand; whether you are working or looking for work.  Your brand is your promise and the experience that those who interact with you come to expect.  You are communicating your brand every day, in every way.  You must be able to communicate who you are, why you are the best choice, and understand why your target audience would choose you over a competitor before you can network effectively and start seeing successful results.

Strive to be succinct in all communications {online and offline} and make sure you are keeping up with your professional connections and following up with new ones.  If you are always being you, delivering what you promise and giving your best consistently, you will be able to start seeing successful results.

I hope you are starting to realize that you are communicating your brand every day, in every way. Just be you, fulfill what you promise and always give your best.
