Nexus of Personal Branding & Personal Media

I have been asked by Lauren Carlson, CRM Market Analyst at Software Advice, to cover a video interview with Joe Chernov, Director of Content Marketing at Eloqua

Eloqua hosted a panel at SXSW 2011* titled “Media Tomorrow: The Message is the Messenger.” Panelists included experts from all corners of the media – journalism, consulting, PR, design – and the discussion centered around disruptive innovations in media in the growth of personal branding.

People trust traditional media less than they trust government.  Savvy consumers are turning to the personal media influencers that have successfully branded themselves in their area of expertise.  In this video clip, Joe talks about this nexus of personal brands and personal media. Joe also explains how Eloqua was able to embrace personal branding for their employees, by humanizing the process, and trusting individuals to be themselves while representing the best interest of the company.
